- The altar/console command interface won't allow you to choose a 0-second effect for some reason - even though you can set area to 0. Much like you can't make a magnitude lower than 3 for spells. Question: Couldn't this be accomplished simply by editing the spell creation system to allow a 0-duration?
Who doesn't want eyelashes that are long enough to flutter and bat and curl? I would always like my eyelashes to be slightly longer – who wouldn't? My sister has eyelashes that are so long they touch her sunglasses when she blinks… she says that it is annoying – I do not have this problem and would love to take it off her hands. But thats life. Also – I swear most boys have eyelashes that are so so long. They don't deserve them. Give them to me.
I was recently asked to review a product that is supposed to make your eyelashes achieve a fuller-looking lash in two minutes… On the side of the box, and I quote, it claims to 'improve the thickness of individual hairs by up to 20% in two minutes.' My initial reaction – 'ha, yeah sure'.
Enter the Instant Effects Lash Volumiser. I had mixed feelings about reviewing this product:

How to Preview and Apply Instant Effects. With your photo open, click on the category of your choice, such as Landscape. Click once on any effect in the category and the results will display in the preview pane at the top of the palette. Double-click on an effect and it will be applied to your image. It also says that with daily uses, the thickness of lashes improves by 35% in 2 weeks, and up to 40% in 6 weeks – with an overall increase in lash length of 20%.
So there are two ways of using this product – firstly, just apply it under your daily mascara for an added umpf, or you can apply it over night, daily, to let it do its magic. Which is exactly what I did.
When I started using the Instant Lash Volumiser, I loved it. I would apply it and physically watch it lift my eyelashes instantly. It was so weird. This lasted for the first two nights. Then, my eyes started to itch and water quite a lot at night, so I stopped using the product immediately and silently panicked that I would loose my eyelashes one by one. Turns out, it was just your classic night-time hay-fever and nothing to do with the mascara. But the two combined didn't work for me – I couldn't rub my eyes, and my irritated eyes didn't like having a product on them.
I put the product on hold until I went away on holiday, where I was going to be hay-fever free. I started using the product properly, every night. And I can definitely see a difference. I mainly notice it when I apply actual mascara, as you can see each lash better. All my shorter lashes have definitely grown, especially around the corners of my eye. I do feel like I have much fuller lash line which is exactly what I wanted.
Did I love putting a product on my eyelashes before bed? Not really – I really like going to bed with a face full of mosituriser and nothing else, but I really wanted to see if this mascara worked. And I genuinely believe that it did.
It said to use the product for 6 weeks for the full effect – which I did do (hence why this post has taken a while to go up, after my initial excited tweet about it). If I am honest, I didn't see a huge change in the last few weeks. I think that I noticed the main difference in the first 2-3 weeks (which is great news – as these are literally Instant Effects).
I am really pleased that I liked this product as I tried out their Instant Effects Instant Lip Plumper product few months ago and was a BIG fan. Again – I was SUPER hesitant to use that product as I was worried that my lips would explode – but I am now obsessed. You apply the balm, which is really moisturising and then just wait 2 mins for an instantly plumper pout. LOVE. So fab for fans of Kylie Jenner-esque lips.

I am a big fan of Instant Effects and highly recommend both products. They both cost around £25 (I just found them on LookFantastic.com – click below) but I have used my mascara for 6 weeks and it hasn't run out which is FAB.
